The Green Team had a fantastic time at this year’s bigger and badder YVR Food Fest held on August 6 and 7. Oh boy were people out hungry and ready to eat! This popular summer food event showcased the city’s top food carts. All those visiting our recycling stations were positive and glad we were there to help make YVR Food Fest a green event!
I am happy to report that our recycling volunteers logged over 104 hours of time committed during the weekend. Thank you to everyone who came out as a Green Ambassador and ensured that as much of the event’s waste was diverted away from landfills and into recycling facilities. Green Chair Recycling would not be able to achieve it’s diversion rate goals without you! For all volunteers, your volunteer letters should be arriving shortly by email.
