What an amazing end to Latin American Week! On both days (July 9 and 10, 2016), the energy of the music and the crowd kept us motivated and busy. Seeing the diversity of Latin American cultures in the performances, food and merchandise were highlights of the festival.
Event organizers, vendors and attendees, thanks for having us and supporting the recycling initiatives at Carnaval del Sol!
While full recycling metrics are still on the way, I am excited to report that our recycling volunteers logged 26 volunteer shifts over the weekend adding to over 180 hours of time committed. We really couldn’t do what we do, attending events and diverting so much waste from landfills without the support of our dedicated volunteers so I would like to take this moment to extend a big thank you to everyone who was there this weekend. In addition, I would like to thank all the volunteers from iae Edu Net and CCEL. For all volunteers, your volunteer letters should be arriving shortly by email. If you do not receive yours, or if you have any comments or questions, please contact us at volunteers@gogreenchair.com.
That’s it for now, stay tuned for recycling metrics. See you next year Carnaval del Sol! See you at an upcoming event volunteers. Happy Recycling!
