Did you know that after New Westminster’s designation (1859, incorporation 1860) as the capital city of British Columbia, Queen Victoria named it New Westminster and hence nicknamed ‘The Royal City.’ Moody Park is home to New Westminster Youth Centre, Century House, Parks and Recreation Administration Office and the New Westminster Lawn Bowling Club.
