There’s a lot to consider when running an event, and we know that waste reduction and recycling can be a daunting task, which is why Green Chair has become the expert. We work with you every step of the way, with pre-event consulting, recycling throughout your event, and reporting with recommendations after the event.
Prior to your event Green Chair will:
- work closely with you, your sponsors, and vendors to understand the recycling and waste streams that are expected at the event and provide advice on how to reduce waste including:
- attending your vendors meeting to ensure all food vendors understand their role in the greening initiatives
- providing your vendors a Recycling Sorting Guide & Sustainable Foodware Supplier List
- supplying food vendors with a list of sustainable container options, and
providing a kids eco-art guide
- develop a Recycling and Waste Management Plan for the event.
During your event Green Chair will put our Recycling and Waste Management Plan into action. We will:
- provide all equipment needed on the day of the event including:
- public recycling stations
- vendor & production stations
- bring our Recycling Team to supervise the recycling stations throughout the event;
- work with vendors to help them sort their waste;
- sort and weigh all garbage and recycling;
- haul all materials and take to reputable recycling facilities.
